D ♥ K Part Three: The Wedding

Finally, the third and final part of Dennis and Karen’s wedding feature is here. It took me a while to complete this series, but I promise that the photos that you’re about to see are worth the wait. I had a difficult time picking the ones that I liked best because they were all so beautiful and each one told a story and made me smile.

You’re about to scroll through a lot of photos, but trust me, there could have been more. I tried my best to trim it down, I swear!

The morning of the wedding, Karen was calm and all smiles, which is exactly how you want a bride to be on her wedding day. It was time to leave the stresses of wedding planning behind and relax and enjoy the day!

In these photos, you’ll see Dennis as his normal playful self, but when I first checked on him, he was such a nervous wreck! But he said that as soon as he saw his bride, all the nervousness just melted away.

Their first look.

Because the ceremony was at 7 o’clock in the evening, they took some portraits while the sun was still up.

This was the first evening wedding that I’ve worked on. And while having the ceremony this late has its downsides, it made for the perfect backdrop for an incredibly heartfelt and romantic ceremony. The cool December breeze didn’t hurt either.

Be sure to watch their wedding video below to catch snippets of their tear-jerking vows. I couldn’t hold back my tears!

When I met Dennis, I learned that he was no typical groom. Apparently, he’s been planning their grand entrance for a while, even practicing shuffling to Party Rock. He was so pumped up when he was telling me about his plans for the reception program.

When it was finally time to bust his moves in front of all their guests, I guess he got too excited and got carried away because he started dancing at the foot of the stairs instead of heading to the dance floor. Needless to say, their guests loved this unexpected entrance and cheered him on.

Oh, I forgot to mention… He came in wearing a robot box on his head.

Couples are usually introduced and come in together at the beginning of the program, but not these two. Dennis came in first, followed by Karen after a few seconds.

And here, a few more really heartwarming photos.

And of course, they ended the night with some dancing!

I know that this has been quite a long post, but spare a few more minutes of your time and watch this same-day-edit by no less than Bob Nicolas.
